Community Day, in conjunction with Beaver County Boom, will be held this Saturday at the Monaca Riverfront Park from 2:00 – 10:00. Those attending can expect a full day of games, entertainment, and food. In terms of entertainment, the day will kickoff with a magic show for children at the amphitheater. Those interested in live music will be entertained by Steel City Ruins, The Wrangler Band, and Sidewinder throughout the day.
As is the case with Community Day, there are ample activities for children and adults alike. In addition to the magic show, there will also be children’s games, bounce houses, and face painting. For those who just can’t get enough festival food will be elated to learn that there will be a litany of food including gyros, chicken tender, meatball sandwiches, cotton candy…the list literally goes on and on. If you are looking to quench your thirst while enjoying all of these delicacies the Monaca #4 Volunteer Fire Department will be selling beer throughout the day as well.
Beginning at 6 PM, Community Day goers can ride a free shuttle from St. John the Baptist Church’s parking lot to the festivities and avoid having to try and find parking there.
The day will culminate with fireworks presented by Beaver County BOOM at 9:45 PM, a show that simply can’t be missed.
As a result of the Borough of Monaca being a sponsor to the Beaver County Boom show, they were granted 6 spectator passes at the Beaver County Boom headquarters. Our Monaca has been given 2 of these passes to award to our readers. If you are interested in having 2 tickets that include food, refreshments, entertainment, giveaways, private parking, and an exclusive vantage point to view Beaver County Boom, please comment on our Facebook post and share it to be entered. A winner will be selected at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
